- The Beautiful Island of Capri is stunning! A train to Naples and a ferry to Capri allows you to see it in a day. A not-to-be-missed day trip!
- Cinque Terre means “Five Lands” and is made up of five villages on the northwest coast of Italy which are connected only by a train or hiking trails. Possible day trip–but a one-night stay would allow you to enjoy the experience more fully.

- The Villa D’Este Gardens are in Tivoli, just 45 minutes from Rome by train. An interesting note: the Lizzie McGuire movie was filmed here.
- What a unique city–Venice! Some of our students have visited Venice as a day trip–but we recommend that you stay at least one night since it is about five hours away from Rome by train.
- Caserta is about two hours south of Rome. The Royal Palace at Caserta and its park, inserted as one of the 50 Italian UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997, are treasures of truly incomparable splendor. Star Wars Episode 1 (The Phantom Menace) was filmed here.
