Hannah Scheyder, Resident Coordinator

Hannah Scheyder is the youngest of five Lutheran pastor’s kids who grew up on the southeast coast of Connecticut. With a fierce love of all things culture, she moved across the country to study International Studies with an emphasis in Missiology, minoring in Anthropology and Global Cultural Studies at Concordia University in Irvine of Southern California. She sees travel as a means by which to learn about God’s infinite and intimate presence in every cultural context, be it through music, language, art, nature or food. Hannah participated in Concordia’s Around the World semester, traveling to 14 nations for service and study over the span of five months, and studied in Quito, Ecuador through Living and Learning this past fall. When she isn’t three hours deep into a conversation about God with friends or family, Hannah is likely playing a musical instrument, baking banana bread, running to or swimming at the beach, or otherwise photosynthesizing in the sunshine. With a posture of open hands, Hannah is excited to see how God utilizes the passions He has cultivated within her while she aids the Rome with Purpose program as a Resident Coordinator.
